KARBOL MUSEUM, Yogyakarta

Have you ever imagine being in the atmosphere during the war? Or, at least see some aircrafts which used to fight again colonialism? There’s a place in Yogyakarta if you want to find out more about history and collections of Indonesia air force. The place is called KARBOL MUSEUM which is located in the complex of Indonesia army air force at Yogyakarta. When I went to visit it for the first time I feel like I’m in the atmosphere of war, but I love it. With the great decoration of gardening and some old precious collections of aircrafts and the statue of the air force soldiers.
Entering the main hall of the Museum, we will see Swa Bhuwana Paksa (symbol of Indonesia army air force) and four bronze statue of The first 30 aviator Indonesia. They are Adisutjipto (1916-1947), Abdulrachman Saleh (1909-1947), Abdul Halim Perdanakusuma (1922-1947), and Iswahjudi (1918-1947). This figure has been used as the name of Yogyakarta, Malang, Jakarta and Madiun airports. Not only the collection in the main hall, but in other rooms, the views of aircrafts, statues, uniforms, and guns will make us feel amazed to see it.
